Call for Submissions

Din: n. The new undergraduate online literary magazine at NMSU
n. A loud noise, a commotion
n. Confused clamor or uproar
v. To assail with loud, continued noise; to impress by persistent repetition

Din, NMSU’s online literary magazine, is now accepting submissions. Submissions are open to everyone. We are especially interested in short, Web-friendly, Web-aware works (ie. experimental poems, flash fiction, visual images, sound, tweets) and collaborations are welcome. Publishing is restricted to the capabilities of the editorial section and its criteria. The mission of this journal is to give an opportunity and space for Groundbreaking, Inspirational, Unique, and Revolutionary artists to showcase their talents.

Response time to submissions is within 30 days of the final submission deadline of March 15, 2011.

We will accept multiple submissions from authors, but only one submission per author per mode. Modes included are visual art, poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, audio, and video. Maximum submission length is 5 pages/5 poems, 1,500 words for prose and links to multimedia works (preferably 5 min. or less).

Submissions will be read blind. All pieces should be original and never accepted for previous publication.

The editors reserve the right to pair up pieces from separate authors and request changes to the author to fit with editorial needs.

Submissions will be accepted Feb. 1 through March 31, 2011. Submissions should be sent to dinmagazine@gmail.com
